We are delighted to announce that Munich Airport has won the Airport Innovation Award 2024, recognizing its innovative approach to airport operations! This award is a testament to the success of our partnership in transforming security lane assignments at a staff checkpoint in Terminal C, where we implemented a groundbreaking solution to automate operations.
At the heart of this collaboration was a complex challenge: automating tasks that were previously performed by a dedicated person. With the help of Amorph Systems‘ innovative solutions, Munich Airport has been able to automate and streamline the random lane assignment process, resulting in significant improvements in operational efficiency, and flexibility, while maintaining security standards. Tracking and monitoring of the movement of all persons has been implemented with a cutting-edge solution based on Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) technology. With this technology, the movement of all persons can be tracked anonymously and precisely. Our solution manages the random lane assignments, uses LiDAR tracking to ensure adherence to given assignments, and raises an alarm in case of breaches. With this implementation, Munich Airport has been able to free up scarce manpower resources, improve operations efficiency, and realize significant savings.
